This day, Sakura cried.
She cried like she never did before, her tears burning her cheeks like acid. She was crying because she now knew the truth: the brutal reality was that he was a man. Not a young man. He was not for her. She was too young.
-Sakura? A voice said.
-Leave me alone! She screamed.
-Sakura, is everything all right?
-What did I sai... she started while rising her head.
Then she saw him. Kakashi, sitting on the branch of a big tree.
-Is everything all right? He repeated.
He seemed sincerely anxious for her. When she was looking at him, she felt new tears in her eyes. She closed her eyes and said:
-Yes... it’s ok, Kakashi-sensei. I... hum...
Kakashi jumped on the ground and sat next to her.
-Why were you crying? He asked softly.
-It was nothing, sensei, Sakura said.
-I never saw you crying for nothing, the jounin whispered. You can tell me.
No. She couldn’t. She opened her eyes and looked at the sky. Giant, pure and blue. Just this.
-No, I can’t, she murmured. I really can’t. Leave me alone.
-Sakura...
-Leave me alone.
Before leaving, he touched her wet cheek.
-Promise me you’ll say it one day, ok? He asked.
-I promise, she answered after a moment of silence. Yes.
-We have a mission tomorrow, Kakashi said.
-Don’t be late this time, sensei, she murmured with a smile.
He smiled too and disappeared.
“Why can’t I tell him?” she asked herself. “Why does I’m afraid? It doesn’t make sense!”
She looked at the skies.

Sakura returned to the village. There she saw Kakashi again. He was talking with Naruto. She felt her face going red and hurried up to her house.
